Draft at the brewery on 31st July 2018. Deep golden body, clean and clear, the head a fluffy snow white crown. Fairly sweet (like the other two I drank on their patio) with malty molasses ruling the aroma and taste, some hop balance and there is a light fruitiness to the whole brew. Liked it.

Hopfiger recht süßer Antrunk. Dabei schmeckt der Hopfen künstlich nach Kaugummi, das Bier erst spät durch herb würzige Aromen harmonisch. Dann aber durchaus gelungen und süffig, passend hopfig herb. 11/6/9/9//9

Draught at the brewpub. Clear golden colour. Big stable white head. The flavour starts off fruity and flowery, perhaps some elderflower. Also quite caramelly, almost candylike. The alcohol comes in next, it is quite distinct without becoming too much. There is also a distinct bitterness that balances off the sweeter flavours well. A very good, flavourful and well-balanced Doppelbock.

Draft. A dark orange beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma is a bit light, what is there is sweet with notes of alcohol and malt. The flavor is sweet alcoholic and malt, as well as faint hints of butter, leading to a dry and rather bitter finish which has a slight alcohol metal tinge.

(On tap) Clear, fully golden with a white head leaving laces. Aroma of malt and alcohol. Very full-bodied with loads of malt, a high degree of sweetness and a distinct alcohol but never in an unpleasant way. Some bittering hops nicely balance the sweetness to make for a very harmonious Heller Bock. 051106
