28/VII/24 - 75cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ Ardennes Holiday, BB: +2Y, bottled: 20/VII/23 (2024-623)
Pretty clear to little cloudy yellow blond beer, big solid creamy white head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of banana, bubble gum, fruity, a little malty. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: spicy start, good bitterness, Westmalle yeast, bubble gum, ripe banana, a bit malty, a bit of alcohol. Aftertaste: spicy, Westmalle yeast, good hoppy finish, a bit floral. Really enjoyed this one! Not sure if this is really a saison though. Would definitely put it down as a Belgian Tripel in a blind tasting.

Hefig fruchtiger, rund süßlicher Antrunk. Der Alkohol ist erkennbar, stört aber nicht, passend trocken werdend. Zum Ende stört der Alkohol dann etwas, insgesamt weich und süffig. 12/12/11/12/8/12

Stronger version of Saison d’Erpe-Mere, made for the busy commercial activities surrounding self-proclaimed ’beer sommelier’ Ben Vinken. But let’s taste this objectively, shall we... This has a thick, moussy head and cloudy peach blond colour, an aroma of sweetish and caramelly malts, white pepper, straw, grassy hops, apple peel; and a malty taste with subdued fruity hints, sweetish, with mild herbal hop bitterness in the finish. Okay beer, but not a real saison to me.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma has strong notes of spices combined with notes of vinegar. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, dusty hops, and fruits with an acidic edge. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 750ml. @ Petalax Beer Festival 2010 - the 4th. edition.Unclear medium grey orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, vintage malt, moderate yeasty, leather, vitamin, light pepper. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long to average duration, spicy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100703]

Bottled@PBF2010. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, wood, some herbs and mild notes of yeast. Flavour is quite much the same, but overall rather sugary sweet.

Bottle. Rating #4900. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a samll white head. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty aroma with some grassy hoppy hints. Sweetish malty spicy yeasty frsh hoppy flavor. Has a sweetish malty spicy yeasty finish with some hoppy hints in the aftertaste.
