Ale Absurd is a medium bodied copper ale with a hint of mild spiciness. Barrel aged in fresh California Chardonnay barrels, the oak notes blend well with hints of pear and a light buttery tinge.

Lets face it. Beer is an art form that excites our senses and stirs our imagination. This truth gave Jolly Pumpkin an idea. We’d create a limited series of beers by throwing caution to the wind and following our creative muse no matter where it leads. This is how we discovered Baudelaire Biére. A romantic world, dimly lit by distant memory, yet alive, and inspiring us to pursue beauty at any cost. In the world of Baudelaire, label and beer come together in a character and taste. Influencing the drinker to take upon the spirit of creativity and thin the veil between life and art. Let the muse guide you.

“A breath of fresh air from the wings of madness.” - C. Baudelaire

Dziwne. Faktycznie lekko winne, ma goryczke, ma jakas owocowosc chyba z dzikusow? Lekko jakies apteczne klimaty? Nie wiem, mieszane opinie zbiera ale mi smaczy

Bottled. Hazy amber, small head. Funky nose with white wine and lemon. Tart with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Hay, white pepper, slight vinegar and white wine. Complex, tasty and interesting.

On tap at Jolly Pumpkin - Detroit, pours a hazy amber orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of Chardonnay barrels, Belgian yeast, and a little candied sugar. Flavour is along the same lines, with candied sugar, assertive Chardonnay barrels, and crisp citrus skins. Nicely constructed, with a pretty dry, vinous finish. Good stuff.

Taste is oak, pepper, apricot, wine, plum, citrus. Medium bodied, mild funkiness, well balanced. Nice.

Pours deep gold into a snifter. White head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Pumpernickel and chardonnay aromas. Soft and sweet with rye and whiskey upfront turning to oaked chardonnay before the lasting earth finish.

Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle poured into a Trappist glass. Opaque orange with small white head. Aroma is fruity, medium body, lower carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is fruity, Chardonnay, some tartness, a little oak, and a hints of rye. Quite different than other triples I have had.

Bottle shared at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen post Blåbær release (30/07/2017) - golden pour with white head. Sweet fruity and malty aroma and taste with some citrus fruity notes, light malty, casting sugar sweetness, wheaty and only light yeast nuance, some rye citric spice into the close, style wise not your normal style tripel here, but enjoyable nonetheless.

This is not a tripel.
This was poured into a snifter. The appearance was a nice looking hazy amber to orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light lacing roaming here and there around the glass.
The smell had a nice real authentic citrus to spicy rye. A light rye malt enters in as it warms.
The taste was mainly sweet but had a light spicy rye to the flavor. A nice light sweet rye aftertaste accompanies the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. I’d say that the carbonation was good for me and for the style. Overall, I say this was a pretty good rye beer. This is not a tripel, there’s nothing that tells me it has the characteristics of a tripel in the smell and taste.
