From tap at Barcade, New York. Creamy brown malty aroma with lots of caramel, toffee, some fudge, chocolate, dried fruits, butterscotch, figs and raisins. Sweet with a light to moderate bitterness. Creamy robust body. Very nice to sip on.

I got this bottle in a trade with NutBrown. Thanks Alan!
It pours from the 750ml bottle a cloudy brown/orange with a good 3 finger head of foam with lots of sticky lacing. After a few minutes of sitting, the foam recedes to a solid 1" layer. Nice.
The smell has a lot of malty and yeasty notes along with pepper, alcohol, and some dark fruit.
The taste on first sip..huge caramel malt, dark fruit(plum mostly), just a touch of pepper, and some alcohol. The mouthfeel is really nice and thickish, almost syrupy, while the carbonation is lightly done. The finish is mostly dark fruit and a slight citrus sourness and is quite nice. Btw, boy, do I get some warming after the swallow so it's going to take me some time to finish this bottle but I usually do take my time with most any beer that has a bit of a kick to it. ;^)
Ok, I'm on my second pour and the alcohol doesn't seem as obvious now and I'm more able to enjoy the flavours in this tasty Dubbel. Good stuff!!
Bottom line: A very tasty Dubbel that grew on me during the session so I'd put it firmly in the "I'd drink it again" category.

Bottle shared tonight by Dr Rob, thanks for the opportunity! Fruity caramel and brown sugar with a hint of chocolate offset with yeasty earthy flavors. This is a nice dubbel.

Bottle: Poured deep blackish brown with a thin tan colored head. Aroma was strong yeast, dark fruit, some bubblegum. Makes a very pleasant mix of dark fruits, sweet malts, nice alcohol warming on the palate. I’m glad that this made a trip to Anchorage, very solid Dubbel!

Refrigerated 750 cl brown bottle poured into a trappist glass. Pours translucent reddish brown with medium beige head. Tight small bubble lacing, medium body, low carbonation, and nice caramel, ripe fruit, & dark candy sugar aroma. Taste is dark ripe fruit (fig, raisin, and some dates), caramel, some nuts, and dark candy sugar. Some complexity, enjoyably sweet, pretty easy to drink, I like this one.

Bottle at CGarvie tasting. Old-Skool label! It pours deep amber-brown with a thick yellow-white head. The nose is rather sweet...raisin, sultana, white grape and brown sugar. The taste is earth, light bitterness, spice, citrus, candied peel, raisin, dried fruit, brown bread and cherry. Medium body and fairly high carbonation. Not a whole depth of flavour. Ok.
