From our favorite Floridian brewery comes this Belgian-style dubbel. It’s rich and fruity, with some herbal flavors, and some funkiness thrown in for good measure. And, as always, somehow it’s reminiscent of it’s hometown of Tarpon Springs.

Murky light brown pour, little to no head. Aroma is a mix of fruity vinegar. Some tropical fruits, and a sweet balsamic vinegar. The flavor again is quite tart, more vinegar notes, and a semi dry tart funky finish. Im not 100% sure its supposed to be this forward with the vinagar notes. Off bottle?

Bottle shared at the big Dave tasting at craft beer Co Islington. Many thanks to Matteo for this one. Clouded dark orange amber coloured pour with a lasting beige head. Aroma is orange rind, Belgian yeast, bready malts, little spicy citrus, hint of sour. Flavour is composed of jammy orange, spicy citrus, bready malts, little musty airy stuff. Palate is semi sweet, frothy carbonation, little sticky hop. Solid.

Bottle thanks to Matteo at Craft Islington. Gush! It pours murky brown with a thick, foamy light beige head. The aroma is soft, sweet, funky, peach, sour apricot, dirty musty, floral notes and some creaminess. The taste is crisp, tart, funky, woody, dirty peach, apricot, alcohol, must and spice with a dry, woody finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. High carbonation detracts from the overall experience. Decent anyhow.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Matteo. Pours cloudy orange with a creamy, off-white head. Dense yeasty notes in the nose, wheat, light caramel, ripe berries. Medium sweet flavour, a little body, with notes of grape, light toffee, berries. Medium to full bodied with average to lively carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, with more yeast notes, light caramel, bread, berries, grapes. Tasty, if a bit punchy.

750 ml bottle purchased at Total Wine, Tampa. Amber borderline brown color. Aroma is huge hibiscus flowers, candied sugar, and some toasted grain. Body is a tad thin on this one. The hibiscus is mostly all I’m getting here. Almost a old lady’s perfume flavor. Pretty high level of carbonation, not really my style saison, if you call this that style.
