Hand-pulled half-pint in The Crown Inn, Oakengates on 17th Feb 2014. Pours a golden colour with a white head. Light floral to fruity nose with a more malty feel to the taste. It’s pretty boring to be honest, just a regular mid-strength UK Bitter with no outstanding features in either direction. Nothing bad, but nothing interesting or different to get excited about.

Cask at Carpenters Arms, London. Pours clear penny-copper with a small, foamy head. Light caramel and brown sugar in the aroma with some floral hops. Bready, sweet malts start the flavor with subtle sugars, along with grass, straw and light citrus bitterness. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Finishes very dry with some bread and earthy bitters. Decent.
