Wetherspoon Autumn Beer Festival 2019. Cask @ Richard Oastler, Brighouse. Clear copper-gold with a creamy-frothy head. It’s hoppy with a light malty base and decent sweet tropical fruit notes that are better represented in aroma than taste.

Third, cask ale, festival beer at Sun (JDW) in Redhill. Shared with Finn. Spotty lacing, filmy layer, clear copper brown body. Moderate smell of fruity caramel. Blended malt-fruity taste profile of caramel malts and dried fruits. Rounded malt-fruity end. Fair enough. (Redhill 17.10.2019).

Cask at the Falcon, High Wycombe, 18/10/19. Clear golden with a good sized off white head. Nose is fruit esters, caramel, straw, sweet notes. Taste comprises light fruit elements, hint of vanilla, sweet malts, light orange peel, straw. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Ok.

Cask at the moon under water Watford Jdw. A clear dark orange coloured pour with a lasting speckled off white head. Aroma is semi sweet, nutty malts orange, pale malts midget gems. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, simple base malts, brambles, little grapefruit, alcohol, little soapy. Ginger. Paalte is semi sweet, thin, ok.
