Bottle at home. Bought in Oswestry by the parents. Looks to have been renamed - ’Kingston Flyer’ does not appear on the label. Very feint sweet floral aroma. Frothy but blotchy white head. A hazy amber. Light to medium bitter (more than previous ratings suggested). Light bodied, with a real fizz from the carbonation. Dry finish. I can see why raters have described it as more of a golden ale, but the hops are there. I like it, perhaps best described as ’subdued’.

Bottle from Appleyards Deli, Shrewsbury. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - lemon and malt. Taste - more of the same. There’s a particular lemon rind note on the finish. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - yep a decent session ale. I’d say it was a Golden ale.

Bottle split at Chriso Tasting, 10/07/14. Clear pale golden with a good sized off white covering that dissipates then retains. Nose is bready, light citrics, puff of smoke, floral notes, grassy. Taste comprises mellow fruit, light citric rinse, lemon peel, pale malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with subtle grassy bitterness. Not unpleasant just a little boring, not an APA just doesn’t cut the mustard in the hops dept.

Bottle shared in London. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a creamy white head. Some pleasant citrus notes in the nose, lemon rind, pale bread. Light sweet flavor, nice pale bready malt character, lemon rind, straw. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Nicely balanced on the finish, mellow pale malt sugars, straw, slight grass, hay, lemon rind. Tasty, easy drinking.
