33cl bottle from Beer52. A glossy black colour with a ring of translucent head; weak chocolate aroma; very thin and watery in the mouth with an earthy bitterness and some faint chocolate and sweetness to finish. Disappointing.

Opaque brown, basically no head. Rich, malty chocolate aroma. Flavour is tangy fruit, rich chocolate, light malt, and a surprisingly dry aftertaste. Nice.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at THE Kris Wines. Pours oily black with a modest, foamy beige head. Nice chocolatey aroma, with soft roast, vanilla pods. Light-medium sweet flavour with lightly burnt cocoa, some creamy chocolate, oily vanilla, mellow ashy bitterness, hints of raisins. Light bodied with average carbonation and velvety texture. Finishes with more fun chocolate character, hints of dried berries, a little bittersweet cocoa, mild ashy roast. Nice stuff.
