Bottle. Pours slightly hazy dark copper brown with airy light tan head. Sweet aroma of sugar, malt and touches of caramel. Slightly roasted flavour of malt, coffee and liquorice. Very subtle hoppy notes. Very watery mouthfeel. Rather unbalanced but drinkable.

500 ml bottle, as Løkken Dark Ale, bought in Denmark. ABV is 5.2%. Very dark brown to ruby colour, nearly black. Big to moderate beige head. Fairly nice aroma with a mild roastiness, notes of caramel, mild coffee and some fruit. The flavour has basically the same elements as the aroma, but with less caramel and a very slight acidity. Hints of chocolate too. Dry aftertaste. As a "strong dark mild", this is not too bad!

Bottled. A red-brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, straw, and malt, leading to a dry bitter finish.

A deep red beer with a disappearing light brown head. The aroma is very light with notes of roasted malt. The flavor is somewhat weird acidic with light sulphury notes. Not very pleasant, but OK for the style - though the beers of the style, that I’m not fond of.
