At GBBF. Bitter with creamy, thick, off-white head and deep, almost clear, orange blonde colour. Aroma of toasted bread, flowers, biscuit, dried berries and some iron. Lightly fruity onset, bit toasted, creamy and somewhat buttery mouthfeel (clear diacetyl - it was the first pint from a newly installed cask), elegant hoppy ending, florally aromatic and spicily bittering. Nice bitter.

500ml bottle from my brother. Pours clear copper with no head. Aromas of stewed tea, apples. Taste is more of the same. Tanniny, metallic finish. Not great.

Cask gravity at the Watford beer festival 2014. Orange coloured pour with fleeting white head. Aroma is floral and hedgerow hop, sweet caramel malts on the nose and a hint of orange. Flavour is light caramel, pollen and floral hop, orange rind and a subdued bitter finish. Palate is quite sweet, moderate carbonation. OK.

Cask at The Playhouse, Colchester. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin slightly broken head and lots of broken lace. The aroma is weak malt, The flavour is medium to weak bitter with a smooth malt hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with flat carbonation. Nothing special bit not bad either.

Gravity poured pint on 20 Apr 2013 at the CAMRA AGM bar in Norwich. Light brown body with a copper hint in a strong light source, the head was a weak, thin affair from the off. No strong aroma, faint traces of citrus and wood as the beer warmed. The taste more floral than the nose suggested: mildly dry in the mouth with a semi-dry finish. A long way from interesting, but an OK refreshing brew that isn’t going to upset anyone or test your taste buds.

Cask at the Champion of the Thames, Cambridge, UK on 11th May 2012. Copper with thin off-white ring and film & patterned lacing. Sweet malty aroma. Malty and fruity with some late hops in-mouth, leaving a tangy and herby finish. Zingy mouthfeel and medium body. Nice "growing" ale - you can just end up liking it.
