Cask@The Rake, London. Glden colour with a small white head. Aroma is wheat, some bready malts as well as some slight notes of spices, cardboard and mild herbal notes. Flavour is quite much the same with a very bigtime citrusy tone to it.

RBESG Sheffield 2009. Handpump at The Star Inn Summer Beer Festival, Huddersfield. Light golden colour, white head. Aroma of pineapple and dung, hops, or as René/thewolf said: like a sweet fart (sorry if I steal your thunder here). Flavour is sulfur, dung, strong hops, pale malts, bitter finish. Flat, bit thin. Couldn’t finish it.

Cask handpull at The Star Inn, Huddersfield. Pale gold, lasting off white head. Yeasty pineapple on aroma. It’s a good hoppy beer with aggressive yeast character. Decent. If characterful which isn’t to everyone’s taste

Cask at the Wenlock Arms, on 11th July 2009. Pale golden body, limited white head which disappeared quite rapidly. Some haziness. Hop aromas greet the nose with scents of grass and dry grapefruit. Citric astringency takes over with peppery notes also present. The seasoned tongue will detect subtle spices which continue in the dry finish. Quite a sophisticated beer in terms of flavour. Enjoyed this one.
