8 4 7 3 16 Bottle, shared at July THT, in front of Kwartje. Almost black color. Thick and frothy brown head. Aromaโ€™s: whiskey-ish, molasses, woody. Retronasal itโ€™s sweetish, alcohol, fruit, whiskey. Flavor is moderate sweet, fruity, alcoholic. Medium bodied. Roasty and moderate bitter finish.

Bottle shared at THT July. Black with good sized beige head. Lots of sweet chocolate, sweet whiskey, vanilla, sweet nuts, marzipan. Quite sweet and just medium bitter. Almost full bodied with quite some alcohol.

THT July, outside of Kwartje. Black with tan head. Dark roasted chocolate malts, whiskey, molasses. Big sweet and moderate bitter. Full body, slick feel, soft carbonation. Spiked by high abv. Nice.

Bottle shared at the July THT. Very dark brown pour with a tan head. Notes of chocolate, whiskey, roasted malts, cocoa, subtle dark cherries. Smooth texture, chocolatey, lightly minty and spicy bitter-sweet finish.

Bottle shared at THT July. Black with a beige head. Aroma of roast, whiskey barrel, vanilla, fudge, chocolate and caramel. Flavour is heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle from Grunting Growler, Glasgow, consumed at Camping Des Chevrets, nr St Malo, Brittany, Tuesday 20th June 2017. Pours black thick in the mouth, gritty bitter cocoa, smooth but with a drawn out bourbon boozy flavour. A little bit of warmth, some sweet kirsch, lingering soft roast, chocolate comes back, itโ€™s great. A8 A4 T9 P5 Ov16 4.2

Bottle - Light barrel and some boozy notes. Sweet chocolate syrup. Jet brown with a rich brown head, dark roasty malts, raw woody barrel notes and a dry chocolate almost sweet finish.

Sampled at Van Moll Brewpub shared with Ferris. Dark brown to black color, medium sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, barrel aging for sure, malt bitter, some roast, roast bitter. Ok stout.

Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, whisky, smoke, liquorice. Taste has all this and light spice too. Long finish. Good.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - smoke and chocolate. Whisky edge to it. Dried fruits. Taste - more chocolate, sweet wood spice and whisky. Palate - medium to full bodied with a creamy texture. Long elegant finish. Overall - really good.
