Excellent and not too bitter in spite of the double-IPA moniker, with very little alcohol recognizable in spite of it packing quite a punch. Often this made me want to take a nap, and yes, the amnesia would undoubtedly set in.

3rd June 2010 - Brasserie 4:20. Cheers to Alex for the bottle! Hazy amber beer. Good off white creamy head. Light semi soft, semi dry palate. Nicely hoppy, grapefruit marmalade. A little bitter tea. The head provides a creaminess. Finishes with a touch of minerals and a little green veg! Not bad!

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, grass, and grapefruit, leading to a dry and bitter finish. Thanks fiulijn for sharing.

650mL bottle - pours a copper colour with a minimal head. Aroma is quite woody, somewhat metallic, with soapy floral hops. Flavour is extremely soapy, with soapy floral hops, lemon peel, some citrus and a little bit of wood / metallic notes. Unrefined and amateurish, but still decent. Update: I tried this again in 2021 after my last tasting in 2012 €” I stand by my previous rating. Harsh and amateurish hop expression, with little cohesion. It was one of my first IIPAs, but nowadays it doesn't impress.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Slightly hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Fresh hoppy nose with citrus and peach. Medium-bodied, lightly sweet caramel and distinct, perfumy hop accents that also leave a solid and rather dry bitterness in the finish. 291208
