Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol, March 2015. Deep gold in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. Grainy and earthy malts, with some hedgerow fruits, before a decent, bitter, finish. Good.

Cask half-pint in my local Wetherspoons on 26th March 2015. Golden brew with a white head. Malts lead the way in both the aroma and taste, with the spicy hops playing second fiddle most of the time: dry and semi-bitter finish.

Cask @ Penderel’s Oak (JDW)Penderel’s Oak (JDW), Holborn WC1. Pours a clear pale amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty floral hoppy aroma. Fruity malty earthy hoppy flavor. Has a fruity malty earthy hoppy finish.

Cask at the moon under water Watford. Clear deep orange / light amber coloured pour with a lasting creamy greyish head. Aroma subdued nutty malts and some spicy hop. Flavour is composed of light honey, tart grains, apple, plastic, bitter hedgerow English hop. Maybe a little plastic in there as well. Lingering spicy grassy hop matter. Palate is semi sweet, decent cask condition and big harsh hop bitterness. Not a fan.

Sir John Oldcastle. Spoons. Cask. Clear gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry with mild fine carbonation. The pale malts are light and sweetish with a little grain. Floral hops, mild skunk and modest tangy citrus. Touch of hop spice. Light semi dry finish. Not bad if a bit malt accentuated.

Cask@The Flying Horde JDW, Gatwick - golden amber coloured pour with small white head. Aroma and taste is citrus fruity and bready malts, light caramel, some floral and spicy herbal hoppy notes throughout. Not bad.
