[Cask at the Monks Retreat, Reading] Deep yellowy gold with a negligible white head. Orange aroma. Flavour is very hoppy, but with very sweet banana citrus behind - so sweet that at times it’s almost sickly. Liked the hops, hated the sweetness, and kept switching between enjoying it and feeling vaguely sick. Long lasting citrus hop dryness afterwards. So - overall, certainly a very tasty beer, but unfortunately a badly balanced one.

Cask handpull at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Copper gold with lasting off white head. Some syrup on aroma, some esters, some raw alcohol to be honest. It’s a strong golden ale along the Summer Lightning role, some peach and apricot flavours in the mouth. Not much hop on finish. Nothing bad but just a more fruit than malt flavour or hops. Fine.
