Keg at CBC Clerko, 02/01/15. Clear golden amber with moderate light beige spotting and edgework. Nose is toffee, yeast esters, candied fruit peel, bitter dark fruit notes, light tobacco notes. Taste comprises prunes, caramel, fruit rinds, earthy strokes, nutty. Medium + body, fine carbonation, stewed fruit and bitter strokes in the close. Decent enough Belgo affair.

Bottle at home. Two years old. Has a slightly hazy , brownish amber color and is topped with a solid and creamy, ivory colored foam head. The beer has a wonderful aroma with touches of dried fruit, chocolate, leather, British fudge, bread and some alcohol. The flavor follows up impressively with additional notes of more prunes , leather and licorice. In the mouth the beer is soft and rich, and has a nice bitterness in the aftertaste. Maybe a bit more bitter than the classics from Belgium.

Interessant.

Litt uklar. Høyt kremaktig skum som daler sakte. Litt lacing. God krydderaroma med antydning til malt. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken litt søt. Maltpreg med litt krydder. Avslutter syrlig. Mye bunnfall.
