Recently, we found some of these "Angels Barrels" which we’d lost over time. After tasting them, we decided to marry some of the barrels together creating a time in a bottle snapshot of some of our favorite Angel’s Share barrels. This Grand Cru bottling has been thoughtfully blended to bridge the first batches with our most recent releases. We hope that you, like us and our Angels, find it worthy of the designation Angels Share Grand Cru.

Draft @ Meadhall. Dark brown. No head. So a big boozy nose. Sweet brown sugar, booze, peat smoke...lol really comes across like there's a Laphroaig barrel and some sweet molasses barrels involved. Super rich and figgy, with earthy notes.

Bottle at RBGT. Pours dark brown with black sediments. Aroma is strong barrel and booze over nutty caramel. Body is sour and oxidized, yet not super heavy. Strong bourbon throughout. Nice.

Tap@Himmeriget, Copenhagen (2014 version 15.6% abv) - dark brown verging black pour with dissipating tan covering. Sweet malty with a plethora of dark dried fruits, caramel, cocoa, some nice spices, whisky soaked oaky wooden notes into the finish, rich and decadent. Gorgeous! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
