Black Forest Porter - Named for the Goddess of the Black Forest, Abnoba is a desert porter with more going on than other beers with far less going on. Chocolate, bourbon vanilla, sour cherry and lashings of lactose all combine to cut a fine figure of the desert made famous by its namesake. Richer than Richie Rich and twice as surly, this gear gets the job done like a prepubescent millionaire with money to burn.

Лучшее пиво вечера. Приятный баланс во всем, сладости, терпкости, кофе и шоколадом. Сливочность также есть на глотке. Хороший питкий портер со сливой, ягодами и черри.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 28th March 2025. Intensely dark sepia brown with pale tan foam and scant lacing. Chocolate and candied fruits and peels in aroma. Dark chocolate, cherries and citrus notes in-mouth, and a finish of chocolate, coffee and citrus. Medium bodied with an engaging mouthfeel. A fair bit going on. Interesting.

Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico. Rich vanilla, creme brulee aroma. Gorgeous black with lasting foam. Has good bitterness but overall too sickly sweet.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Black with a creamy off-white head. Smoothish and light nutty, it's also somewhat milky. Its strength is evident but it's flavoursome enough.
