Sierra Blanca Green Chile Cerveza - Pours gold with a one finger white head. Smells of grainy, bready malt and chili peppers. It tastes of grainy malt and chilies. It’s a chili beer, alright, and not terrible, but not very good either. Meh.

Bottle: Clear gold with a short white head. Grain, green pepper aroma. Taste is sweet barley malt with a low level chile heat. Overall.....pretty bland.

Bottle. Roasted Hatch chiles, light malt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Lightly sweet Hatch chile, light malt, and mildly bitter straw flavor. Okay body. Really nice Hatch chile aroma and flavor in a light bodied beer - I really like it (but roasted Hatch chiles are one of my favorite things on earth).

Draft at the source. Very slightly hazy pale yellow color. Pepper flesh and lemon aroma. Taste has light chile heat. Tap. Pours clear golden, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma of chili, honey, grain. Flavor is light plus sweet, very light bitter. Light body, light plus chili heat. Decent.

Pours gold from the bottle. The white fizzy head fades fast. Aroma has a soft malty base with noticeable chili. Taste is very sweet, with a strong chili inflection. Finishes sweet and spicy. Feels contrived, and lacks all nuance. Quickly wears out its welcome.

Bottle from Whole Foods-Indian School Plaza. From the get-go, a weak pour, pale golden and minimal head. Aroma of peppers. Stronger in aroma than in taste. Seems that some chilies were added to a pale lager. Nothing too special here, pepper aroma and taste, not even finishing well.

12oz bottle pours out a crisp straw topped with white head. Nose is all green chilli and jalapeno peppers. Taste is corn grain and a touch of peppers on the end.

Enjoyed at the Pink Taco in Vegas. Pours a slight hazy, light golden colour with a fizzy head that disappears quickly, leaving no lacing. Grainy sweet nose with honey notes. The taste is not as sweet though, and finishes very quickly with hints of tequila agave, in the aftertaste. Overall, watered-down and not sure where this one trying to head for.

Bottle - Actually smells like roasted chillies, although a bit artificial. Lime and a sweetness that you normally get with lagers. Clear gold no head at all, looks like ginger ale. No bitterness at all, flavour disappears so quick you don’t get a chance to enjoy it, but a lingering heat in the back of the throat. Half way through that unique smell and taste gets very old.
