For our take on the classic hefeweizen style our search for unique ingredients led us to the Eureka and Lisbon varieties of lemon grown in three different regions of California. These particular lemons added the perfect balance of citrus tartness and sweetness to accent the taste of the beer. The spiciness of the Hallertau Mittelfruh and Spalt Spalter hops balance out the slightly sweet character of our brewery's own signature wheat malt, resulting in a crisp and refreshing wheat beer with a subtle lemon aroma and flavor.

Bleh. Lightly wheaty, a touch of lemony. Harsh hop bitterness at the finish, with a dirty yeast profile. Pale golden yellow, modest head.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very cloudy apricot color with a large orange-white head. The aroma was sweet and tart orange and lemon. The flavor was tart and bitter with a strong lemon presence and moderate orange, spice and yeastiness. The finish was long, tart citrus and yeasty. Fairly full bodied. Quite nicely sessionable.

2nd Beer from Holiday pack on New Years Eve. Pours a hazy yellow with a decent sized head. Smells lemony and yeasty. Pretty unusual taste with the lemony flavor. its pretty carbonated and overall refreshing and drinkable with a little strange after taste. Odd for holiday pack but somehow works

12oz bottle pours hazy deep gold with copper core and thin white head. The aroma has some wheat backed up by some mild dark fruitiness, a touch of honey and a dash of winter spices. The taste is a mix of wheat, some dark fruit and yeasty spices to start. It smooths out with building sweetness to the finish to go along with the addition of some honey notes.

12oz bottle. Murky golden-tan with a big, frothy head. Mild lemon-dough aroma. Medium bodied with minimal toasty malt undertones. The lemon taste is not pleasantly fresh and lively, just a thick, soapy tang that, along with the ubiquitous hops, coats the mouth in a rough, sandy sweetness. Mellows as it gets closer to room temperature. I’d drink this one at cellar temperature, or at least give it a few minutes out of the refrigerator. Almost comes off like a Saison in some respects.

Pours with some haze. Smells wheaty but on first taste it is more lae like than wheat like. Some citrus or lemony bite. A little gunk on bottom of bottle. Nice head with final fill from bottle. Ok without too much rudeness. Overall not bad with its sometimes rude ale attributes.

Hazy yellow-orange body, thin off-white head. Nose of tangy wheat, hay/wet grass, biscuit, and citrus. Biting, sharply carbonated body, with grassy wheat and lemon notes. Fairly dry; nothing cloying about the citrus or the yeast. One of those "it’s alright" beers.
