Bottiglia.

500ml bottle. Clear mahogany with small beige top. Aroma is somewhat metalic but with caramel and berries coming through. Taste of sweet brioche-bready malt, light roast, jam. A mid-bitter earthy finish with a hint of the metalic but not as bad as the aroma suggested. Nice smooth mouthfeel for the strength. A bit mixed.

Tight off white head left a spotty cover on a dark mahogany coloured still body. Malt, caramel & toffee aroma. Medium bodied, smooth in the palate with a creamy back. Roasted, nutty, toffee & jam tastes with sweet fruity finish. Tasty!

7/6/2018. Bottle from CentrAle, Newcastle. Pours ruby brown with a small beige head. Aroma of sweet malt, fruit, prune, caramel and moderate roasting. Medium plus sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Not bad, but not as good as the cask version I had yesterday.
