500ml bottle from local Aldi - Clear deep red body, thick short-lasting white head. Nose is a bit half-hearted, some fruit, some caramel. Taste is more of a solid presence, buttery caramel, toffee, and red fruits. Not bad.

500ml Bottle at home on 4th Nov 2015. Red hue to the deep amber body, on top a thin beige covering that tried to hang around in the UK pint sleeve the beer was poured into. Toffee esters filled my nose and the semi-sweet malt molasses theme carried on into the taste. My sweet tooth liked it although it is a little ’one dimensional’ flavour wise as the malts overpower the hop content somewhat in all aspects.

500ml bottle from Morrisons, Preston. Pours clear ruby red, thin beige head. Aromas of highland toffee, fudge, malt. Tate is malt sweet at first, then more creamy toffee, then a slight astringent note. Probably better on cask.

500ml bottle. Clear ruby brown amber colour, foam tan head that diminishes and fruity & malty aroma. Taste is tangy sweet malt with fruity, roasted and nutty notes, some bitterness and residual sweetness that lingers in the finish. Medium body and medium carbonation. OK bitter.

Blackfriar, Blackfriars 6 Nov 12. Dyp rubinrød. Lavt kremaktig skum som varer en stund. Litt setter seg fast på glasset. Bra karamellaroma. Smaken vassen. Tilløp til litt røstet malt i ettersmaken. Under pari.
