Pretty much a clear deep amber brown beer, good bubbly tan head. Airy palate, smooth, good fine carbonation coming through on the back end. Smooth malts, a good creamy sweetness, decent dark toffee adds malt depth. The rye whiskey is weirdly both smooth and very spicy. Smooth whiskey soaked ripe fruits, soft but rich and yet, there is also a good spicy whisky kick late on. Tobacco leaves add a slightly caramelly flavour, with soft tobacco! Smooth and spicy finish. A very assured barleywine from Blackout. More please guys, a few less BBA Impies and a few more of these inventive barleywines please!
