Keg at the BBNo taproom. Pours oily black with a lasting, creamy beige head. Lots of ashy roast in the nose, tangy burnt wood, aged dark berries, raisins. Medium to big sweet flavour with strong woody character, some leathery twang, scorched earth bitterness, bitter cocoa, strong espresso. Full bodied, chewy, with massaging carbonation. Warming finish, somewhat sticky, with lots more ashy roast, bitter dark chocolate, dried fruits, woody dryness. Quite robust. Very good beer.

Bottled 330ml (Uba ja Humal)
Opaque brown color, small steady brownish head. Aroma has oak, white wine, light alcohol, toasted malts. Full-bodied, very soft palate. Roasted malty flavour, grapes, warming alcohol, fruityness underlying. Very smooth mouthfeel. Same time silky and powerful.

Bottle. Black pour, creamy head. Aroma of red fruit, creamy licorice, chocolate, oak and grapes. Flavor has vinous red fruit, booze, smooth creamy licorice, soft smoke, chocolate, red grapes and subtle tart in the finish. Bit much co2. Nice, but not their best.

330 ml. bottle. BBF 31.01.20. Põhjala Cellar Ceries remains quite interesting. Black, thick creamy coffee head. Nose is umami black berry, herbal cigarette smoke, low plastic, interesting, I think that this is the first time that I note cigarette smoke,... Taste is interesting thin herbal, cacao, chocolate cigarettes, candy cacao, mocha, chocolate cigarette (those candies are long discontinued, kids & smoking etc.), low herbal smoke, low herbal smoke mixed with tourist chocolate taste, light licorice, coco puffs, Jelly Bean syrup (not a thing yet I think?),... Body is red berries syrup, chocolate cereals big time, faint smoke,... Very interesting brew.
