Bottle from the Packie shared with Paul. Inky black viscous liquid with a thin tan head that slowly recedes. Faint banana nose and flavor with the trademark roasty licorice bourbon overtly sticky sweetness. Nice to try but glad I shared.

On draft at Dominion. Pours a dark cola brown with a tan head. Aromas of bananas and bourbon. Tastes better than it sounds and is surprisingly tasty, though not as good as the original.

Bottle. Pours a pitch black hue with a small beige head. A big woody bourbon nose, spices. Rich vanilla, bourbon heat, big spices, cinnamon. Light banana I guess. Very rich, tasty. Drinkable as heck.

Draught at Fulton, 11/30/23, as Bananas Foster 2023. Dark. Hint of bubbles on edge. Rich brown sugar and ripe banana with caramel, vanilla and chocolate. Low cassia character. Not tons of bourbon character, but the beer is mellow. No booze in the nose. Soft, malty, tons of bourbon spice, moderate cassia acidity, and an undercurrent of banana flavor. A bit lighter bodied than expected, maybe the adjuncts seeing to that? Still, this is pretty nicely mellowed and balanced for just being released. Should probably peak in about six months as it gains more homogeneity. Though the light body means it's probably best to drink not much after that.

bottle. was directed her as this must be the same as the Prop 2017. Bananas were not as pronounced as I expected. I did cellar one so will be interested to see how this matures over time. Very nice

500mL bottle, pours black with a tiny tan head. Aroma is divine, with loads of roasted almond, coconut, bourbon barrels, and maybe a touch of cinnamon. Flavour is decadent, with a wonderful integration of banana, roasted almond, and a touch of spice from the cinnamon. Of course, the bourbon barrels add a wonderful dimension to everything. Somehow that banana works very well in there, integrating with the almond really well. It's not an otherwordly BCS variant, but it sure is wonderfully made. Lovely stuff. Definitely better than the 2018. :-)

Bottled 01SEP17. Thick, sweet, boozy and bourbonny. Banana is a bit too subtle for my liking, only there when you look for it. Almond is massively there, though, and works very well with the rest. Intense and delicious.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of rich sweet chocolate notes with some vanilla and bourbon notes with light bananas notes also perceptible. Taste is also a mix of sweet chocolates notes, some bourbon and vanilla notes with light woody notes with some perceptible but subtle notes of bananas. Body is full with nice creamy texture with good carbonation. Another solid pastry-like stout from Goose Island.
