Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours a very dark brown with medium beige head that lasts. The aroma is nuts, banana, roast, cocoa, wood, bourbon. Slick body, strong banana, cocoa, nuts, nice sweetness, boozy, very nice.

Draft at the BCBS media preview in October. This year's edition went for a Bananas Foster taste, with the addition of banana puree and banana essence, plus whole roasted almonds and slivered almonds, and 25 pounds of cinnamon "to open up the sweetness." The banana is certainly there, but not like some Halloween banana candy. Unlike the Northwoods, I do not get knocked over by almond, either. In fact, the nose has more cinnamon than anything else to it, easing in the banana mouthfeel. I am at least glad the cinnamon is not at the pumpkin pie spice level.

5 oz. snifter at Goose Island Clybourn on Black Friday. Aroma is similar to the Banana Foster dessert, burnt caramel, cinnamon, and not really much in the way of banana. The burnt caramel and caramel candy is good when the stout is cold. As it warms it just becomes a huge cinnamon bomb. An overload of cinnamon in the finish. Very nice full body with a oily slick texture over the mouth. ABV warming after the sip but not harsh. Honestly, proprietors over the last 3 years has not been good. This year is entirely to much cinnamon and couldn't find banana. Not nuanced and elegant at all.
