Bottle from Beers of Europe. Clear gold, brief bubbled retention. Aroma of earthy apple juice, light leather, skins, wood. Taste of slightly sour apple, wood, earthy and smokey in character with a semi-drying close. Its been a while since I have had a proper characterful cider and this hit the spot.

500ml bottle at Piccadilly Pub in Bodø. Missing head, no lacing, crystal clear straw coloured body. Moderate aromas of ripe apples, earthy. Mid-sweet apples to the taste buds, hints of farmyard and earth. Bittersweet ending. Okay, slightly unvaried in the long run. (Bodø, 27.06.2024).

500ml Bottle @ Stable Bar, Birmingham. Pours clear gold, no head. Aroma is moderate apple fruit with sour hint. Taste is clean with a pleasantly souring farmhouse feel that gives what would normally be a straight-up bottled Medium a characterful oaky edge.

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 23.03.15. Clear pale yellow. Small off-white head. Fine and refreshing cider-aroma of bitter English apples. Similar taste, with a hint of bacon and smoke. Round mouthfeel. Very quaffable!
