500ml bottle at home on 22nd February 2026. Shared with Andy. Light haze in the golden body, white crust on top. Honey like nose and sweetness within the brew, not too much, but enough to notice. Didn't really take to it.

500ml bottle from Morrisons, Oswestry. Pours a deep hazed amber, rocky off-white foam atop. Aroma is quite malty with a faint honey hint. Flavour profile reveals a touch more honey, blending nicely with a good malty profile, gently twiggy with a soft bitter close.

Cask at Bull and Stirrup, Chester. Pours a hazy golden amber with a small white head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly honey with some hitns of malts. In the mouth it is sweet and juicy. Honey and malts again the main flavours, plus marmalade and traces of grains and floral hops. Finish is quite fruity. Not the most exciting beer in the world,, but decent and very drinkable.

A 500 ml bottle found out in the countryside of Wales some days back, a best by January 6, 2023, the label advises. I am pouring into a wildly beer-inappropriate glass but what can you do about that at times? I determine a dark gold liquid finished with a settling pure white head. The nose is grain with a whiff of floral. A drink from the glass, bread, malt and a bare touch of honey sweetness. Staid, rather sedate.
