Ligft haze on this amber beer. Light soft palate. Light malt start, tastes slightly aged. A bare whisper of hop. Finishes light and malty. Not a bad flavour for it’s abv. Quite drinkable too.

275ml Brown bottle, just out of date when reviewed in Aug 2011. Poured into a Batemans badged half pint sleev glass. Mid, to light amber body, clean and clear looking. Very thin white covering of bubbles as a head, which fell away to next to nothing quickly. The nose was weak, some mild molasses giving hints of toffee arrived as the beer warmed. The taste was more malt than hop but there was an uncurrent of hop bitterness below the malty front. Easy to sup and flavoursome considering the alcohol content is only 3.4%ABV. Not bad at all.

275ml bottle. Pours hazy orange with no head. Aroma is a bit grainy, some lemon and boiled sweet. Taste is dusty and bready malt. Some lemon. Pretty good for the low abv.

50cl bottle from the Home Brew Shop, Aldershot. Bottle conditioned. Pours amber with a fading white head and some light carbonation; the aroma is fruity with traces of musty honey; then light malty flavour, with some gentle hoppy bitterness before a dry biscuity finish. A rather good English Pale Ale style beer.
