Crisp and very clear, but ever so slightly hazy golden coloured body with a tall and quite soapy pure white head, about five centimetres tall. Aroma of tart, soured, funk with a lot of dry, almost saison-y like qualities from some subdued yeast and a bit of coriander seed noticeable without any salt/brine components, at least in the nose. Light-bodied; Very salty and briney flavours up front with an ultra-light malt backbone noticeable along with some wheat and a lot of dry, grassy flavours that hit with some lemons and limes and a tart yeast finish that really showcases the salts. Aftertaste shows a dry finish with a lot of the funk and lemon flavours with a hint of light salt and a very easy-drinking and almost thirst-quenching finish. Overall, a good enough gose with a relatively dry profile, but still the salt, tart and light citrus flavours show through as you'd expect them to. Nice to sample and a good beer after a marathon, even though what I asked for in my growler was an Imperial IPA! I sampled this thirty-two ounce growler fill on draught from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 24-October-2019 after finishing the USMC Marathon 2019 here in Washington for US$8,00.
