The return of our first ever blueberry sour blonde ale, and we couldn't be happier with the result. We kept adding fruit to our barrel-aged sour blonde ale until the taste was exactly what we wanted. A lovely shade of reddish purple with juicy flavors of tart blueberries.

Bottle courtesy of André. HAzy pale purple pour with a frothy offwhite head. Undefined dark berry nose with lemon & plenty of peasant funk. Sour, fruity & funky taste. Dry & tart mouthfeel. Mistook it for a Mûre tasting it blind which means it's very good. --- Beer merged from original tick of Beauregarde (2017) on 30 Sep 2017 at 00:06 - Score: 8. Original review text: Not a Mûre

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma has fairly strong blueberry notes with some light citrus and hints of pineapple. Light malt notes with a bit of oak. Pours a hazy reddish purple with a medium large, frothy pink head that recedes steadily to a thin film that lingers for just a bit. No lacing or legs. Flavor is moderately acidic but not sharp with hints of citrus and some light grain notes. Moderately strong blueberry notes with some light oak characteristics. Light tannins and phenolics notes. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice blueberry sour with solid berry notes that still let some of the base beer and oak shine through.
