Pigs Ear. Hazy gold beer, thick white head. Soft creamy malt, lightly spicy. Repressed orange bitter fruit. More hop bitterness at the finish. More complex than it sounds and decent.

Bottled (bought@GBBF2010. Slightly hazy golden colour, mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is spices, toffee, some mild grassyness and caramel malts. Flavour is quite similar in a quite sweet toffeeish way. Not that close to a traditional Belgian Tripel.

Bottle @ RBESG, Rome. Pours unclear yellow with a small creamy off white head. Nose is fruit, caramel and yeast. Matured and it has a weak oxidation. My guess is this is 3 years old?. Fruity and dry flavor with notes of hops and vague alcohol.

Bottle from Kris Wines, London. Poured a cloudy golden colour with a mid sized off white head. Sweetish nose with notes of belgian yeast, citrus and grassy hop; all themes that continued on into the flavour. Liked the bitterness towards the finish. Very solid Tripel, but falls somehow short of being excellent. Extra marks for the 4:20 reference though.
