Slottskällans Bryggeri bryggde sitt första öl i maj 1998.

Slottskällans Decennium have a beautiful red-brown colour and caramel sweet round taste. The beer have an aroma of roasted almonds and figs. The aromas linger for a long time, elevated by the warming alcohol and the taste is finished with a spicy bitterness.

Bottle. Look: Clear dark orange, short lasting head. Smell: Metallic, vegtables. Taste: Sweet malt, light smoke/bourbon, caramel. Way too sweet and chemical. Tastes too much alcohol.

Bottled. An amber beer with a huge orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, spices, and lemon. While the flavor is plainly sweet malty and alcoholic - in a good way. Thanks joergen for sharing.

Amber color, nice perlage. Caramel-based, semi-sweet, timid Swedish brew. There is some malt flavor and a very light fruitness. They didn’t celebrate themselves very much with this beer.

330ml Bottle (Svenska Dagar 2008 @ Pikkulintu, Helsinki) - Copper/dark amber in colour with a foamy head. Malty and grainy aroma with some dried fruit. Sweetish and malty taste with some hoppy and fruity notes.

(Bottle) Amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with dried apricots, caramel, orange peel, toffee and spicy hops. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, apricots, orange, toffee, nuts and spicy hops in the finish. Medium body with that distinct, sharp malt sweetness always present in the Slottskällan beers. In this beer it actually feels quite well placed. Smooth and mellow moutfell. Nice beer. In short: sweet malt with apricots, caramel and orange peel.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of joergen. Clear amber golden with an off-white head and a beige head. Solid maltiness in the nose. Fairly good body with some rather odd ashy accents and a very bitter finish. Not bad but very atypical for a Heller Bock. 160408

Bottle, thx to Ole_R. A golden, clear beer with an off-white head. Malty nose, a bit like beef-stock, with toffee, fruit and a bready touch. Nice malty flavor with beefstock being quite evident. Quite bitter, almost astringent, finishing on the malty side. Sure not the typical pale bock, but quite lovely. (080410)
