Forget about India Pale Ale being an English beer, which should be robust enough to withstand the long sea voyage from England to India. Our version of an IPA is totally inspired by the new interpretations, especially those found on the U.S. west coast. A solid malt base, combined with Simcoe, Amarillo and Cascade hops and then just dry hopped enough to ensure that the hop burn is thorough. It is fruity and fresh, it’s bitter like hell and it is strong enough to give you a little kick if you drink a couple of bottles or three. This is how we make a great IPA at Amager. We don’t have a single doubt that you will enjoy our IPA , because it is a damn good beer. Cheers!
Ingredients: Water, barley malt , hops, and yeast
Note: Before mid-2018, regularly available as "Amager IPA".

As Molotov IPA. A red copper ipa with a thin lacing light mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with resinous piney hops, light treacle, pleasant. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with resinous hops, treacle, burned caramel, very nice. On tap at Nørreport location.

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark reddish amber, with moderate beige foam, very fine. Aroma is intensely hoppy, resinous. Body is somehow above average, with medium carbonation. Taste is pretty bitter, with a nice continuation in the final.

Keg at the new brewery, 11/11/17. Rich amber with a decent beige swirl. Nose is caramel malts, toffee, light spice, dusty hops, orange peel. Taste comprises biscuit, toffee, Caramac bar, bitter orange, straw, toasted grains, brown bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with moderate grassy hop bitterness. Old skool IPA ... not my bag.

Bottle, 0.50l. Clear dark brown color with thick creamy tan-like head, good lacing and sparkling appearance. Aroma of passion fruit, pine, herbs, caramel and cereals. Taste starts with mild sweet biscuit and rich toasted malt, following is grassy and herbal, mouthfeel is crisp and rather dry, while finish is heavy bitter with long aftertaste. Medium to full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Top shit...

At the Koper beer festival. Pours a bit darker amber color, fairly hazy, topped with a medium sized tan colored head. Pleasant fruity aroma, tropical fruits. Taste is characterized by a decent hoppy bitterness. Nicely drinkable and very enjoyable.
