25/XII/14 - 33cl bottle from De Zytholoog/Bierloods (Adegem) @ home - BB: IX/2011 (2014-1536)

Clear reddish brown beer, creamy beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: bit oxidized (obviously), orange peel, metallic, spicy, some caramel, orange peel. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet, sugary start, caramel, some overripe banana, bit of chocolate. Aftertaste: oxidized, chocolate, orange peel, bit metallic.

Rating from 2008: Sehr feinporiger, beiger Schaum, der sich lange auf dem Bier hält. Der Geruch ist süßlich-klebrig-malzig. Der Antrunk des Bieres ist wie sein Geruch – sehr süßlich-klebrig-malzig. Zum Hauptteil hin tritt die alkoholische Note noch zu dem Dreioklang hinzu, ist aber nicht sonderlich störend. Die klebrige Malzigkeit dominiert. Der Nachgeschmack des Bieres ist malzig-süß mit alkoholischem Unterton, eine ganz leichte Herbe ist spürbar!
→ Nettes Bier, einen Tick zu süß, aber schön vollmundig-aromenreich – Schokolade, reifes Obst, vielleicht auch etwas Kaffe – gefällt mir! --> 12+10+11+10

Pours clear dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel and dried fruits. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottled. A murky dark brown head. The aroma has notes of sugar, spices, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of sugar, yeast, malt, and caramel, leading to a dry finish.

clear red amber, floaties, smooth white head. mild yeasty and flowery an slightly caramelly aroma. flavor is dark fruity, red fruity, malty, flowery. nice fruity note.

Malziger, herber und weicher Antrunk mit süßen Noten. Danach weniger intensiv, weiterhin malzig-herb, etwas schokoladig, zum Ende süß-sauer. Erdig, trocken. 7/8/7/7/7/7

Excellent amber colour, nice dark beige head. Aroma of malt and tin. Taste is a mix of malt and spice with an alcoholic finish. Almost drifting into the realm of a dark brown malt liquor. It’s missing a lot of finesse.
