Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It’s an almost clear beer, copper-colored, and toppe by an off-white to beige head. Dried fruits, caramel, hints of spices and alcohol, and a strange fruity scent that I don’t fancy. Alcohol, dried fruits and caramel flavor with some unusual herbal spicyness. Medium to full body, a bit too warming. A quite unusual beer, and not especially pleasant either. 091024

Bottle from the Takamura wine shop in Osaka. Fruity, spicy aroma of chocolate and caramel, raisin and plum. Dark brown with orange tints, tons of floaties, and a huge off-white head. Sweet, fruity caramel flavor with strong sour hints and a roasty malt finish. Lots of plums and raisins. Sweet and spicy, with licorice. Ok, but a bit overdone. Too light for a proper dubbel. Roasted malt flavor works well, though.

Bottle, 8.5%. Perfumy aroma, some dark malts, a little yeast. Very small tan head. The flavour is rather sweet. Has some spiciness, brown sugar. A little yeast in the finish along with a very faint lactic note. The alcohol is quite clean in the finish, burns my throat a bit.

Light amber. Chunky. Slightly spritzy, slightly spicy. Some caramel and toffee. Decent, but fairly uninteresting.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden hazzlenut brown with a slowly collapsing tan head. Light yeasty fruity and malty aroma, not too caramelish. Flavour is sweet, slight yeast fruity and vague metallic. Mild roasted malt base. Lingering mix of yeasty fruit notes and malt into a smooth and lasting finish.

Brown colour, medium tan head. Aroma and flavour contain a lot of caramelized sugary malts. Sticky palate finish.
