750ml @ Ryan's shared with Alex, Phill (thx for the beer, man!) and Josh, trying to figure out the Okanagan trip because weather is preventing us from Golden Ears camping 😬.
Aroma: nice delicate funk with a lot of oak and some fruity notes.
Taste: along the same lines, quite prominent, noticeable bitterness. Smooth. After 2-3 sips when the palate got used to the funk and acidity, armagnac notes become very easy to identify.
Overall: nice one.

Amber, some haze, little carbonation. Light lambicy leather and a good armangac nose. The armangac is prominent on the palate, lending richness, depth and complexity. Moderate bitterness. The base carries limited acidity, and the funk frames the barrel not the other way around. Excellent.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Lightly chill hazed gold with small white head. A slightly sharper base lambic with underlying armagnac permeating throughout. Not sure that the two components completely blend, but decent nonetheless. Continues to improve as I sip (+0.5 overall).

Bottle at Cantillon. Pours a hazy gold with small frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is strong funk, oak, brandy, citrus, earth. Slick body, boozy, funky, light tartness, dry finish, very nice.

(Bottle, Cantillon Brewery, Brussels, 20 Oct 2018) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, sourish nose with notes of citrus, oak wood, unripe fruit and stable. Fruity, tart taste with stable, tart berries, barnyard, a touch of Armagnac and a fresh acidity in the finish. More than medium body, with a slight sweetness. Really fresh acidity with an oaky Armagnac touch. Perfect balance. Ridiculously good!
