Feine herbale Hopfung. Milder rezent, vollmundig, perfekt kaschierter Alkohol. Im Abgang vornehm röstmalzbitter und leise hopfenherb. - Reicher, gediegener dunkler Doppelbock, außerordentlich rund und nirgends plump. Prima!

Bottle picked up from Markgrafen Getränkemarkt, Deggendorf consumed at home Saturday 16th March 2024, about to cook Rajma, a spicy Kidney Bean Curry from our new Dishoom cookbook, listening to ByteFM. This is an excellent Doppelbock, there is a very nice balance between sweetness, abv and drinkabilty and this straddles the line superbly. Nice full malty and sweetness, lovely mouthfeel, a little chocolate but smooth and very more'ish'. Love this.

Dunkler Doppelbock mit 18,8 % Stammwürze und 7,8 % Alk. Geruch frisch, malzig, Traubensaft.

(bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Clear, ruby brown colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Nutty and syrupy malty aroma with notes of dried and vinous fruits, as well as a shade of chocolate. Moderately sweet and delicately bitter flavour, full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Mildly dark and toasted malty base with nutty notes, dried fruits, raisins and molasses; sweet, dried fruity and slightly molassy finish with a hint of chocolate at the very end. The alcohol is fairly muted, pleasant. 22.IX.16

Bottiglia(Dank am Bodensee!):Deep ruby-amber coloured, clear, stable medium-sized off-white head; moderate to solid nose of dried fruits, molasses, toasted malt with an illusion of Port; solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied, fortunately not sticky; lingering sweetish fruity-molassey finish with a balancing bitterness in the aftertaste. Well crafted, well balanced brew from a reliable Brauerei…
