Bottle at YNWA. Pours dark brown with a small white head. Dark roasted and breadish aroma. Roasted breadish, light caramelish and rather dry base flavoured. Smooth roasted and beadish flavoured finish. Nice one.

500ml bottle. Amber with a dense off-white head; sour fruity aroma; rather thin with creamy toffee malt flavours and a dry and smoky finish. Rather basic but drinkable.

Bottle at home ... Deep brown ... very fruity nose quite nice ... rounded fruity malts well balanced... little hop in back ... Oh this is going down well.

500ml bottle at 78, Glasgow. Deep russet colour with thin beige head. It’s been filtered and pasteurised, so pretty empty in mouth, some decet malt, bit of brown sugar, some raisin and red berry, bit of dry chocolate. Fine.

Malt and green apple aroma. The flavour has some of the same characteristics, with a good bitterness. Rather one-dimensional.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, amber golden with a tiny, off-white head. Weak aroma of nuts and caramel. Fairly light body with notes of caramel. Discreetly hoppy finish. 281006

Red-amber. Smokey and very roasty nose. Sweet and malty, clean with salty finish. A medium bodied ale with very Scottish feeling.
