Cask @ Station Hotel, Larbert. Slightly deeper clear golden with a creamy head. Steady session, smooth, some caramels, low bitterness. Slightly floral aroma.

1/12/2022. Bottle bought at the brewery. Derbyshire rating #250. Pours clear amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma is malty, hoppy, orange, flowers, caramel and biscuit. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Moderate body, oily, very soft carbonation. Nice bittersweet finish. Fair enough best.

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear golden brown with a bubbly white head. The aroma is weak malty leading to a medium bitter, English hoppy, malty flavour with a nice refreshing bitter aftertaste. A perfect session ale.

Cask-conditioned at the Derbyshire beer festival, Seven Stars, Bristol 6/12/10. Amber with a slight, off-white head. Sweetish caramel and hedgerow fruit, with decent bitterness in the finish. Ok.

Cask @ GBBF 2009. Pours a pale amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with some hoppy hints. Fruity malty caramel flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty caramel finish.

Cask @ GBBF 09, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Clear light to medium amber color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, fresh nutty. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20090805]

(Cask at GBBF, London Earl’s Court, 5 Aug 2009) Pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with apricots, biscuits and dusty hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of peaches, biscuity malt and dusty hops in the finish. Medium body with some lingering malt sweetness. Decent but hardly exciting.

Cask@GBBF2009. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is wood, earth, mild dark fruits as well as some sap. Flavour is wood, fruits, caramel malts, grass and some slight bready malts.

Cask@GBBF 2009 "as Best Bitter". Deep amber color, small off-white head. Light, lime hoppy aroma. Some caramel, resiny hops. Solid malt base. Decent all around bitter.
