on tap @ GIBF, looks good, smells good, kind of excited to try it and.....not good. disappointing because i was looking forward to this one. way way way too overbearing, tastes alright at first but by the third taste i was ready to toss it.

An amber ale with a thick frothy off white head. In aroma, nice pungeant hops, floral with some orange pulp character, a bit meaty. In mouth, much more subdued, with biscuitty malt, light floral hops, intense orange pulp, interesting, but overall a bit unbalanced. On tap at Lucky’s, Logan Airport, Nov. 11 2009.

Amber with a small white head. Peach and flowers in the nose. Sweet caramel malty flavour with juicy hops and a good bitter finish

Nice resiny aroma. Brownish yellow and clear. No head. First taste is immediately mild but then morphs into a big, wew, IPA hoppy experience. This is certainly treading on IPA territory, bitter dull grapefruit rind and spruce tar palate. Barely any carbonation. Quite blunt and rude at times. Difficult lingering finish for a lager lover.

I finished my first day at GBBF 09 with yet another, flavoursome ale from the USA. Nice, deep rosewood coloured body. Fresh tropical fruity aroma. Blended flavour of resinous hops, notes of grapefruits and mid-tart berries. Pleasant dry bitter endnotes. Well balanced. One-third pint, gravicask, 04.08.2009.

Cask@GBBF2009. Amber colour, not much of a head. Aroma is lots of red berries, alcohol, fruits and some wooden notes as well. Flavour is fruits, wood, some nectar, sap and mildly berryish notes.

Cask@GBBF 2009. Deep amber color, small brown head. Sweaty hoppy and strawberry aroma. Quite light palate after strong nose. Strawberry sweetness, some bready hops. Some tropical fruits, a bit like having Nelson Sauvin used in here also (but it has actually Summit).

Bottle on 06/14/2009. Clear copper amber body with a medium frothy off-white head. Sweet citrus and resiny hop aroma. Sweet caramel flavor with some light citrus and faint resiny hop notes. Medium light body with moderate carbonation.
