Bomber from Half Time. Pours very dark brownwith a transient dark tan head. Aromas of darkish fruit and very strong coffee. Flavor is sweet with lots of coffee. Gets a bit of tar. And treacle. Body is a bit thin. Minor down tick there.

22 oz bottle. Pours as black as used motor oil. Thick full beige Head. Aroma is a symphony of roasted malt, coffee and choc-o-late. Taste; Wow! Taste mirrors the aroma. Finish is smooth and creamy with a mouthfeel that makes you crave for more. If you like coffee and you like stout, you will love this! It is one of the best dessert beers I’ve had. It would go great with a multitude of different desserts. Awesome!!

Nice little surprise to see this bottle available today at my local. Pours a solid dark brown/black with a creamy and fluffy tan head that sticks around forever leaving lots of sticky lace on the sides. Smells of coffee obviously, some chocolate syrup, nice roasty undertones, some dark fruits and a bit of alcohol round this one out nicely. Taste is a great roasty grain bitterness with some coffee and chocolate thrown in. A little bit of hop bitterness thrown in with some caramel sticking to my taste buds. Body is medium, mouthfeel is creamy and sticky, carbonation is a bit high for a stout. I really enjoyed this one. The coffee is subtle not overwhelming like some "beery coffee’s" Nice underlying stout, nice roast. I’d like to try this one without the coffee added! I’m also glad to see Long Trail starting to brew some less mainstream micros. Great Job.

Pitch black, 100% opaque with a dark brown, thick luscious head that seems to rise over time! Aroma of roasted malt, coffee beans, tobacco, prunes and a touch of vanilla and oak. Full-bodied; Deep pungent roasted malt, toffee and oatmeal flavours with a bit of coffee, some strong sweetness and a good potent alcohol flavour. Aftertaste shows pretty much all the flavours above, plus a bit of vanilla all without cloying the mouth and leaving it full of alcohol - this is surprisingly a ’light’ imperial stout, especially one filled with coffee. Overall, a nice and drinkable (in this size) bottle with a good complex flavour that isn’t overly sweet or overly roasty. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York on 04-September-2010, sampled at home in Washington on 15-February-2011.

Strong coffee aroma, ash and char also present. Dark mahogany pour, thin tan head. Coffee flavor with sweet cherry. Bark and char in the end. Quite nice.

Overall Impression: I thought this was a pretty good brew. The beer has a nice feel to it, and I like the way it drinks. Its a pretty good coffee beer with a roasted feel, underlying vanilla tones, and touches of mineral on the finish.

Jet black pour with a tan carbonated head. Nose is subtle coffee and chocolate malt. Taste is a sweet stout with a velvet coffee and slight mocha finish. A very nice beer though on the "lighter" side of the genre.

Sampled on draft at Smokin’ Joe’s in Pittsburgh PA this beer poured a black color with a small tan head that produced a small amount of lacing. The aroma was malty and bitter with notes of port wine, sweet coffee and was a bit boozy. The flavor was bitter and toasty with notes of chocolate syrup, coffee and vanilla and sharp undertones of fruity and floral hops. The finish was long and bitter with coffee, chocolate and floral hops lingering. Thick and full bodied. Good.

A deep dark stout with a thin dark moka head. In aroma, nice pungeant coffee grinds, acidity from brewed coffee, quite nice. In mouth, a light sweet moka stout with smooth bitterness, tangy notes, quite good. Tasted at CNY brewfest, Feb. 6 2010.

Bottle at the Relentless Thirst Tasting on 08/29/2009. Clear dark brown body with a small frothy tan head. Big coffee chocolate and caramel aroma. Sweet coffee, chocolate, roast and caramel flavor. Medium full body with moderate carbonation.
