Bottled. Orangeish golden colour with a nice fluffy/bubblyish white head, which vanishes quite fast though. Aroma is caramel malts, fruity hops and some very nectarish-sugary hints along. Flavour is more dull, some citrus fruits, malts, hops and slight acidicness. Not a bad brew, but the flavour was a disappointment, compared to what the aroma promised.

On tap at the Bocktown in Robinson. Very cool patriotic tap handle. The aroma of this is mildly perfumy floral and fruity. The color of this is nothing special, just your typical pale yellow american beer color, but what else would you expect for an american ale? Has a white head. The first taste inpression is that of mild hops, perhaps a little less than I expected for an APA. I have tasted many other APA that were more intensely hopped. This makes iit very drinkable in my opinion because I don’t care for hopped beers. Medium low carbonation. The hoppiness comes across as just enough to make it interesting without being oppressive. Has the right amount for personality without being uncontrolled. Finish is mild or medium hop bitterness that lasts for a few moments. The finish is not medicinal or acrid in any way, I’d say it is even controlled to an extent. Even tho I cannot appreciate this style, this is certainly one of the better APAs I’ve ever tasted after about a dozen.

Draft. Orange with thin, off-white head. Grapefruit and pine aromas along with some grassy notes and malty breads. The flavor starts with reminders of biscuits and bread and the lingers on with a bitter finish. Active carbonation provides and fizzy mouthfeel. Medium body and slightly sticky in the end. Dry finish. Nice.

An orange beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet grassy combined with light notes of hops. The flavor is sweet grassy on a good malt back ground, but also with light notes of peaches, leading to a dry bitter end.

Clear light copper color with nice looking off white head. Aroma is sharp grapefruitiness and pine with a little bit of sweet malt. Fresh tasting grapefruit and pine hoppiness with a small amount of caramel malt sweetness about midway. This beer is considerably more IPA like than several “IPA”s I’ve tried lately. Really tasty Pale.

2005 bottle. Clear rusty-orange body, moderate white head, some retention and good lacing. Aroma of oranges, marmalade (more oranges), basic pale malt, some biscuits and a touch of light caramel. Flavor begins with floral, mildly resinous, bitter hops and a dry biscuity flavor. More orange-marmalade on the finish, a medium to medium-light body, yet not watery. Aerated, lightly fluffy mouthfeel with a bit of lightly chewy, dry caramel and pale malt on the end. Very basic, yet well-executed in all aspects. A flagship session beer of which to be proud.

This is very similar to their IPA but toned down to APA levels. Very nice. Good balance, nice hop character. Very similar flavor profile as their IPA.

Orangey brown in colour, fruity-hoppy smell. Great flavourful beer...smooth at the finish, but hoppy in the beginning. A very well done lighter pale ale, but definately one to enjoy drinking! This is the second time i've sampled this beer, from a different source and a location about 400 miles difference. The beer was almost the same taste both times (which is a good thing!).
