Cloudy deep blond color; big head. A yeasty Ale, it reminds me more a poor French Ale than any ESB. Ordinary bitterness. Quite bad.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Greens Discount Beverage - Atlanta (Buford Hwy), 5/18/09
My bottle was labeled 5.2 % ABV, and had a light blue label with a similar logo as the black one pictured.
Aroma: Smells of biscuit, dark fruits, and spice
Appearance: Mildly hazy copper color, small head
Flavor: Nice balanced flavor, sweet bread-like malts and some decent hops, a bit nutty
Palate: Medium body, decently dry
Overall Impression: Has some qualities you might associate with an autumn beer, particularly the spice and nuttiness. An interesting beer, not great, but interesting.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a small white head over a hazed maple hued body. Aroma is grainy with caramel, bread, and a slightly husky finish. Taste is sweet upfront with bread and then proceeds to flavors that are husky with cracker and finishing dry with low residual sugars. Light carbonation.

22 oz. bottle shared by a friend and purchased at Sam’s Quik Shop. Thanks Eric! Pours a reddish amber with a one finger head and moderate lacing. Someone else commented that it looked like fall. Roasted grain aroma with notes of caramel-covered granny smith apple. Specific, eh? Roasty, toasty grain notes with bitter hoppiness.

Courtesy of Gillard. Bomber pours clear copper with off white head. The aroma is mild malts along with a bit of vague citrus hops. The flavor has a kiss of hoppiness coming from orange peel and tangelo. Then I get crystal malts and a nuttiness building into an tart and drying malt astringency. It ends with moderate bitterness. Seems like a nut brown ale leaning toward astringency meets an ESB.

Hazy amber coloured body with a thinnish off-white head. Aroma of english malt with some toffee and caramel sweetness. Medium-bodied; Strong caramel and english hoppiness flavours roaming well in the palate. Aftertaste lingers long with that good english maltiness and a subtle hoppiness (low a.a.) showing well. Overall, a nice bitter-good for the style, but not outstanding. I sampled this pint on draught at Barley’s in Knoxville, Tennessee on 03-October-2004.
