Bomber. Pours a slightly yellowish orange. Aromas weak... kind of a washed out lemonade with a little bit of grass. Flavor is pretty decent... there’s quite a bit of lemonade sweet/sour going on, with flavor alternating between the two. The finish is pear and honey... fruit and sugar. I should have bought two to see what happens as the bugs eat the sugar... well... that would be the plan...

Poured from a 22 oz bottle. Hazy orange yellow. Bubbly white head with great retention. Lots of floating sediment. High carbonation. Aroma is of red grape. Smells wonderful as you put it to your lips to sip. Taste is more like a light red wine rather than a beer. Light malt in the middle before it finishes out with grape. Even with the high ABV the finish is still smooth and not harsh from the alcohol. I would buy another bottle. It would do well aged to mellow out the ABV and blend the flavors. I will buy again and put in my basement to age. Shared my bottle with LiteWait.

2010 bomber from Half Time. Pours hazy amber gold with a foamy/bubbly white head. Aroma is earthy/citrus/sourish. Med body. Flavor is citrus, farmhouse, tartish/sourish. My mouth is undergoing contortions. This is really good saison. Finishes earthish. But there’s still a citrus touch, and the tart is strongly present in the end. Heat? What heat? Who’d detect 9.3%? Without some help. Super ale.

Bomber pours deep gold with slight haze and tall off white head. The aroma kicks out yeasty spices, some sweet apple and a sense of tartness. The taste explodes across the palate with energized carbonation creating sharp pulses of apples, pears, coriander, cloves and yeastiness. Lingering into the after taste are mostly the same notes but also a slight sense of peach too.

Sampled at Great Lakes Brew Fest in Racine, WI. Aroma wild yeast, floral, very complex. Appearance copper/yellow creamy head. Taste crazy combo, starts soft then explodes with flavor, hops and wild yeast, need to try again. Very interesting that this is a Saison style, not a fan of the style but this stuff is good.

Bottle Picked up at Whole Foods in Portland. Pours out hazy golden/amber topped with a white head. Aroma was spice, fruit, light lemon zest, and bread. The taste matched the aroma right on all except a little bitter hops on the end.

22 ounce bottle courtesy of j12601 in MysterY Swap 4.0. Opened 5/22/10. Pours a hazy copper-gold color with a large frothy offwhite head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of peach, pear, other fruits, bread, some leafy hops and a yeasty note. The taste is big citrus notes, bitter hops and a caramel, bread finish. Medium bodied. Not a great saison.

Champagne like orange and amber. Very bubbly. Apple juice nose is evident from the pour. No need to sniff the glass. Sweet caramel and molasses and brown sugar taste with some citrus and tropical juices.
