Weak banana aroma. Milky golden with an enormous light yellow head. Pears, white grape, and spider web flavor, vinous. Dry and bitter finish. Thin body. A bit off balance, but still enjoyable. Pairs pretty well with Gouda fondue.

Gravicask, one-third pint. Unclear, orange body and a minimal head. Smell of hay and spicy hops. Hoppy-herbal characteristics in flavour with a touch of yeast and a nice lingering bittersweet finish. Good (GBBF, 05.08.2009).

Cask@GBBF2009. Hazy orange colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity and flowery notes along with some mildly earthy notes. Mild barnyard as well. Flavour is quite much the same, but lacks some spicyness to be a really good Saison.

Cask@GBBF 2009. Amber color, white head. Slightly tart mango fruity aroma with hints of orange and strawberry. Sweetish, lots of kandisugar, light tartness, mango and apricot. Short fruity-sugary finish. A bit too sweet for being enjoyable.

Deep hazy golden amber coloured body with a nice sized dense tan head. Aroma of fresh malt, spices, hops and a bit of an alcoholic kick. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong alcoholic and malty taste with a good hop background and a potent spiceyness with some grassy notes noticeable. Aftertaste shows a bit more kick with some light sweetness near the end. Overall, a good beer - nothing too special, but good to try! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from K&E Discount Beverage in New Paltz, New York on 19-April-2008.

Bottle courtesy of JJPM74: Poured a deep orangey color ale with a big foamy head with good retention but minimal lacing. Aroma of fruity ester with some nice medium sweet Belgian malt. Taste is also dominated by some nice fruity ester probably coming from the yeast that was used with some nice medium sweet Belgian malt and a subtle dry hoppy ending. Body was quite full with a somewhat oily texture and some good carbonation. I thought this was a bit too sweet and somewhat cloying when compared to the staples of the style.

2008. Slightly lower points on aromas and appearance than 2007. Sour flavors, same palate...7/3/7/4/16 2007: Pours deep gold into a tulip. Fluffy white head quickly recedes with little lacing to skim surface. Biscuit and earth aromas. Sharp and crisp with biscuit front to back with a lasting citrus/clove finish. Best US saison I’ve had...8/4/8/4/18 = 4.0

22 oz bottle. Very spicy aroma (in terms of spice, not "heat"). Saisons have always been a little iffy for me when drinking them, so they’re either extraordinary good or they’re just "meh." This was just "meh." Strong fruit tones finish this beer with a slightly dry scratchy finish.

2006 22 oz bottle conditioned from beastiefan2k, big thanks Eugene! Enjoyed with tjthresh. Pour is a golden copper with a nice fluffy head. Aroma is malty, citrus and some spiciness. Taste is very nicely balanced between the nice malt base, with citrus, spice and even some nice funkiness layered in. Had this sitting on my back porch on a perfect late spring early summer day. Overall, a Saison I very much enjoyed.
