No mere beverage could satisfy the thirst of the courageous and gallant soldiers who stood guard over the colonies of the British Empire. Their thirst could only be quenched by a full-bodied hearty Ale; an Ale balanced with rich flavorful hops. We are proud to offer our interpretation of this English style India Pale Ale for those who long for the time when once your duty was complete, the taste of a fine Ale was reward enough for a job well done.

Bottle. Nothing special. Poured an orange-brown with a soft white head. Light malts in the aroma with some dirty hops. Sweet flavor up front, but it thins out and the bitterness is minimal. Light to medium in body with average carbonation and a thin body.

Light colored and clear IPA. Very little hoppiness or complexity. Almost like a hop-flavored water. Good if you’re planning on drinkings lots of them.

At GBBF 2009. Cask. Clear gold, thin beige head. Beer number 1 of the fest. Little bit of pee on the aroma. Quite toffeeish in the mouth. Hops calm down, some tangerine, decent caramel malts. OK hop finish.

One-third pint, gravicask at GBBF 09. Clear copper body colour, naked surface. Floral hops to the nose. Taste of fresh fruits mixed with spiced, late fruits. Hints of figs. Some yeasty notes without dominating the mouthfeel. Bitter finish. Quite alright (Earls Court, 04.08.2009).

Cask@GBBF. Golden color, small white head. Pineapple-pear aroma, some alcohol, like a strong cider. Strong hop juice flavor: peach, pineapple, hops.
