* Old rating, 0,5l-crown-top bottle, best before 11.05. Mild-süßlich-malziger Bock. Dickflüssig-malzig, dunkle Früchte, kaum Herbe, dadurch etwas klebrig.

Bottle from Galeria Kaufhof, Berlin, September 2014. Dark amber with a medium head. Sweetish with malt, caramel and light fruit. Also some light notes of alcohol. Low bitterness in the finish. A bit boring to be honest.

Bottle at Mommseneck, Berlin. Has a clear, deep reddish brown colour and a medium, beige head. Pretty carbonated. Sweet aroma of chocolate, leather, nuts and some roasted malt and alcohol. The flavour is more sweet and distinct with more roasted malt and brown sugar. Has a slick mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A well-balanced bock. More tasteful than aromatic.

500ml bottle. Mild dark chocolate and roasted coffee flavours, with a slightly burnt toffee semi-sweetness in the aftertaste. The beer getting sweeter as it warmed. Mouth/body feel was fine, neither rich or creamy, but certainly not watery. Very easy to drink although it has 7% ABV.

Das Bier habe ich schon vor vielen Jahren gerunken -es muss so um 2013 gewesen sein. Die geschmackliche Langeweile ist aber im Gedächtnis geblieben. Es is einfach ein etwas stärkeres Bier, das kräftiger und süßer ausftritt, aber aromentechnisch ist es einfach nur fad und flach

Had this at Bierbar Alkopole, Mitte, Berlin, Germany Saturday 16th November 2013 Dark brown beer with small beige head. Bit chewy, bit sweet, bit malty and quite a strong beer. Soft in mouth, caramel showing, slight numbingness going on, not sure what from, is there a little spice numbing I wonder? Fine. A5 A4 T6 P3 Ov11 2.9

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours dark brown with a red tinge, initially a thick white head that reduces to a few mm and stays there due to steady stream of bubbles. Aromas of liquorice, dark toffee, faint woody boozy note. Taste is quite sweet, expected more roastiness, but really just sweet. Coffee coming through in the finish. Creamy-to-sticky texture. OK.
