Bottle split at DS, from HOTM online, 29/09/22. Hazed orange with an off white cap that escapes edgewards. Nose is tangy citric shreds, piss, funk, stoned fruit rot, damp hay. Taste comprises barnyard esters, grains, lemon tinged straw, damp alleyway, funk, acidic bite. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced acidic rise and a puckering climax. Solid.

Bottle at the columbus tasting 29/09/2022. Thanks to Colin for this one. A light hazed golden orange coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is sour pickly monster much, prickly onion. Flavour is composed of sharp lime pickle, salt, lime zesty, onion, funk. horsey. Palate is sharp tangy, pinch of salty, lime zest, spicy prickly.

Vintage 2020. Big white head and a nice golden color. Aroma of lemon, lactic acid. Taset is lemony, nutty, wood. Dry tannic mouthfeel, good sourness, mild acidity, strong but very thin carbonation, reminding a nice sparkling wine. Very nice gueze.

Vintage 2017, and limited edition green bottle. No polezalo sobie w piwnicy nieco, moze nie az tyle co beczki w ktorych dojrzewało. Musujace, piana poczatkowo sporawa, ale szybko sie redukuje, lekko metnawe, ciemno zlota barwa. W aromacie kwasne owoce, nieco zapachu wewnetrznej czesci skorzanego paska. W smaku kwasnosc i dzikosc od razu jest z tym jazda, fajna mineralnosc i musujace, piwu fermentacja dala sporo dwutlenku wegla. Wrazenie jakby to byl piwny szampan. Dochodzi gdzies w tle kapusta kiszona potraktowana limonkami czy cytrynami. fajowe na lato, doskonale ugasi pragnienie.

Bottle, 375ml corked. 2020 vintage. A minimal sized white head forms over an unclear orange-golden colored body. Funky aroma with lemon, leather and some wood. Hints of flowers. It's full to medium bodied, softly carbonated, with a delicious funky flavor. Lemon, leather, hay, wood and horse sweat. Lasting finish. Perhaps a bit straightforward, but complex enough and delicious. Really delicious. 220414

More or less quite clear golden in the glass and a head that vanish quite fast Pleasant intensity in the aroma. Vinegar and oak Balanced and fine sourness and acidity Very easy to drink. Bottle from Delhaize. Hazy orange, stable, frothy, white head. Aroma of pure barnyard, stable, wet hay, vague manure even, gooseberry, oak, lemon peel, vinegar, sour white wine. Taste has sour gooseberry, kiwi & green apple; funky hay & straw notes of sourdough maltiness, acidic lemon & vinegar. Woody finish with grassy hops, hay, lemon acid & white wine. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Satisfying Geuze, very 'wild' in a way but kept structured by the wood treatment.

Bottle at home. Vintage 2017. Has a slightly hazy amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of oak, apple cider vinegar, stable, forest floor, rowanberries, citric acid, flowers, rose pepper and green apples. Flavour of apple cider vinegar, dried apricots, oak, forest floor, rowanberries and some hay. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a light bitterness. More spicy touch than most gueuzes I�ve tried. Tasteful and well-balanced.
